Travel and Visiting Conditions
Citizens of countries which have signed the treaty of Schengen do not require a visa to visit Venezuela. All these citizens need is a so called tourist card, which is usually handed out by the flight attendants during the flight to Venezuela. This travel card is valid for a maximum of 90 days and does alow ONE SINGLE ENTRY into the country. This means it is not possible to leave the country and return again with the same travel card.
However, if interested, it is also possible to apply for a tourist visa to Venezuela. For this visa the citizen has to apply in their country of origin. It does allow multiple entries and re-entries and is valid for twelve months. With this visa you can stay in the country for 90 days. An extension for another 90 days is possible from within Venezuela for a fee.
Citizens of countries, who have not signed the Schengen Treaty, MUST APPLY FOR A VISA in order to be allowed entrance into the country.
In either case, you must be in possession of a valid passport of your country of citizenship, which is valid for at least six months upon entering Venezuela.
